Sync Palm Treo Pada Gnome (JPilot)
Saya adalah pengguna berat Treo 650. Device ini berbasis Palm OS 5.x. Vendor telah menyediakan software sync hanya untuk OS ms Windows dan Mac OSX. Bagaimana bila OS kita menggunakan linux (saat ini saya menggunakan OpenSuse 11.0) ?
Solusinya adalah menggunakan j-pilot. (Yap, ada beberapa solusi lain, namun saya rasa masih kurang stabil). Langkah-langkah instalasi dan setup nya cukup mudah :
1. Install program jpilot dan conduit (cek dependasi pada distro anda)
2. Konfigurasi
- Window Jpilot - Preferences - Setting
- Serial Port : usb:
- Serial Rate : 57600
- Window Jpilot - Preferences - Conduit
- Sync datebook
- Sync address
- Sync todo
- Sync memo
3. Sync : Hubungkan kabel sync usb Treo anda, tekan tombol
pada window JPilot kemudian tekan tombol hotsync di kabel anda.
4. Proses sync akan berjalan.
Konfigurasi sederhana JPilot dijelaskan pada dua gambar berikut :
Perhatikan : Setting Port dan Rate gambar diatas !
Perhatikan : Setting Sync gambar diatas !
